St. Onge Company’s Bryan Jensen will be the keynote speaker at the Modern Materials Handling 2025 Automating the Warehouse Virtual Summit! His presentation will take place on July 24 at 12pm EST. Click here to register for the event!
One thing that stood out at ProMat 2025 was the rising level of collaboration among vendors. Everywhere you looked, companies were co-developing solutions—robotics firms teaming with lift truck manufacturers, conveyor makers syncing with software providers, AS/RS vendors partnering with tote and packaging specialists.
This kind of cross-pollination isn’t just a trend—it’s a signal that the future of automation is interconnected, and success will depend on building smarter, more collaborative ecosystems. The motivation behind this movement is pretty clear: Much like the wide-reaching networks these vendors support and orchestrate, they themselves have to function as cohesive ecosystems to deliver maximum efficiency and results—and this new interconnectedness reflects the growing demand for holistic solutions.
According to our keynote presenter, Bryan Jensen, Chairperson and Executive Vice President of St. Onge Co & Chair of MHI’s Board of Governors, formerly disparate suppliers are creating deeper, more formal connections to offer seamless solutions. This was—and still is—the role of an integrator, but that role is evolving, as automation suppliers are now enhancing their software capabilities not just to support their own products, but to control and coordinate other systems across the facility.
Attendees will better understand:
- How collaboration is reshaping automation and how vendors are forming strategic partnerships to create seamless, integrated solutions;
- The evolving role of system integrators as they expand their capabilities to deliver broader, more interconnected facility-wide solutions;
- The pros and cons of a more complete provider solution
